Water Fountain - Detroit Zoo

The Rackham Memorial Fountain at the Detroit Zoo, dedicated in 1939 to Horace H. Rackham, first President of the Zoological Commission. All the figures in the fountain are made of bronze, and the bears are ten feet tall.

Rackham Fountain at the Detroit Zoo

Dedicated in 1939, the fountain features two standing bronze bears (10 feet tall), sea lions, turtles, and frogs. It was also featured in the movie Coraline (2009). In the movie "Coraline," the title character picks up a snow globe that contains a replica of the zoo's fountain.
